Unreal Tournament 3 review

Overall-7/10

Gameplay-7/10
Good
-Still the same old UT we come to love
-New warfare mode
Fugly
-Even a halfassed singlepayer doesnt end properly
-Nothing much have changed since UT2003
-problems playing online become a norm in the industry nowadays?

Visuals-7/10
Good
-Best unreal 3 engine to date, both visuals and performance
-variety of environments
-animation alittle unnatural
Fugly
-We seen the engine 1 year ago since RB6Vegas,so nothing groundbreaking(especially when crysis is out)

Showcased 2 years ago on E3 with everyone having their jaws dropping everywhere at the showroom. But with much delays ,it ended up being released with heavyweight like crysis(which is also delayed), which stolen much of its limelight. Its not a bad game, just that too little have changed since UT2003.Its just a repackaged UT2003 with a new mode called warfare which is actually an modified version of a previous game mode call assault and a spanking new graphics engine.Existing vehicles are tweaked and a interesting class of vehicles called the necris join the vehicular onslaught. Singleplayer is available too,now serve with story mode. But seriously, its waste of time and is an half assed effort. The main attraction here, multiplayer, is plagued by high latencies(for my area) and connection problems. And afterall i dont stay in iraq, getting 300-500 ping on average is seriously unacceptable.
So conculsion, pwning noobs and get announcement like godlike and headhunter is satisfying. But just like guys get bored of their girlfriends and wives, gamers get bored of games too.Such crap just isnt gonna work, doesnt Quake3 proved it?Or the sales of Quake3 just isnt bad enough to get the message through.

Fastfoward by 2 years,UT3 engine becomes an average joe .
