FYI,FERMI, is some ghey codename for GT300.The successor of GT200,will be the first DX11 card from nvidia and supposedly the direct competitor of HD5800.No i m not gonna copy paste and hail the technolgical advancement.I m here to ,well...look at the PCB. =D
Ok, i designed simple PCB before nothing too complicated , but seen more graphics cards then camel toes and something was amiss when i look at it. Look at the end of the PCB with the power connectors, it just looks... cut off at the edge.You may think it is some new breakthrough from china to solder components all the way to the edge of the PCB and i really want to think it that way...Till you see 2 barcode stickers that got cut off too.The 2 power connectors soldering layout is all wrong too, or is it even soldered? Thats not all, the backplate covering the core looks fishy doesnt it? Look carefully and you will see it actually blocks the SLI connector at the top.Wireless SLI have arrived?I dont think so...
When Jen-Hsun shaking and shoving this baby harder than micheal jackson during the tech conference in california.My heart wavered alittle, all the uber nice specs and promises on how revolutionary this architecture, which is nvidia plan to rain on amd's HD5800 orgy party.But now after the PCB picture got snapped and got released into the web, they got blue balls instead.We r gonna buy the new HD5800 and give up waiting on GT300, if it ever comes out.
What? Non working PCB and probably dont even have the GT300 core soldered on too.
So? nvidia dont have a working prototype on october 2009.
Then? We can all stop waiting because its never gonna make it before Q1 2010.
