Easy crash fix that none of the developers bothered...

LG G2 users will notice that during battles, Brave Frontier would crash randomly without any error message back to the launcher.

Well some guy with totally no idea what he's talking about posted this in the FAQ:
TQ. 15) I'm using LG G2 device and the game always crashes. Why?
The device has a very fast processor but gets overheated after an extensive use. Try to close other apps that are running in the background while playing Brave Frontier and give the device a chance to cool down before playing a massive / special event dungeon.

If LG G2 is indeed overheating and causing instability, what about other SnapDragon 800 users? All high end modern SOC throttles to various extent under heavy load, to ensure CPU are stable. That FAQ answer is by far the laziest explanation I've ever seen on acknowledged app crashes. Considering that the game did point me to that particular website, it is not wrong to assume that FAQ is officially endorsed by the developers.

Now to the fix. If you notice, the crash only appears when your characters are attacking an enemy. Sooo... I played around with the settings and guess what I found?
Yes fix to this irritating crash. Instructions:
Home> Menu > Settings> Display Battle Effects > Select OFF

And you are done. After disabling and playing for 3 days, the game only crashed once while I open a chest. That's it folks, enjoy!

Update 30/12/14:  Currently, this fix only reduces the rate of crashes occurring. Gumi Singapore have introduced many more bugs over a year of content and features updates.

I have also experienced a new type of crash where your game will subsequently stuck in a loop of crashes. The only way to get out of it is to Clear data.  We all know how huge the content of BF have grown over a year. Coupled with dwindling mobile data usage offered at cut throat prices by ISP cartels, we simply cant afford to redownload the data whenever it occurs.

To share with fellow rooted users, I would backup brave frontier whenever there's a content update with titanium backup. You need not worry about keeping the user data updated as the app always pull the latest copy from the server.

When this type of crash occurs, simply restores Data only for Brave frontier and you can login again.

In case it helps, I m currently running CloudyG3 ROM on ART while facing these issues. Changing to DalvikRT makes no difference.
