The gameplay start of extremely slowly,especially during multiplayer where you could not increase game speed dynamically as you wish.This game have a rather steep learning curve especially building your economy with 2 resources called mass and energy to juggle while waging war.The resourece comes in a per second rate , however there is a storage value too for you to save up for rainy days.You build power plant and extracter to get resources, but you need to build respective storage wisely too to speed up your construction during late period of the game.Another trouble is many technology require active energy rate to power,like shields, SAM and T4X units.T4X are experimental units or you can call them technological level 4.Each race have 3 each for you to play with,however their building time is horrendously long...To make things worst, the waypointing of units isnt very good,big units get stuck,small units in a pack end up into a queue to get pick of 1 by 1 by enemy fire.
When you get pass the boring economy and expansion stage, things start to get real interesting.You probably would need at least 3 factories to churn out your machines quick.Other than that reconnaissance is extremely vital to your survival, find enemes Artillery positions or T4x building sites quick or get shell to oblivion.Artillery strikes is unavoidable, therefore ,building a outpost with extensive shields and defensive turrents would be a better option.Not only it will be your meat shieled for your main base, it could hopefully destroy all spies before it reach your main precious.If you can accomplish that,finish building in your main base a T4X,nuke silo or heavy artillery would be a much easier and attainable task.Another nice tatic i learn is to build around 3-5 sub commander ACU with quantum gates an rush enemy positions.Remeber to upgrade its armor and weaponary and you will be treated with some jihad style entertainment.Have a fucking artillery/T4X/nuke hiding deep inside enemies lair? Unable to break through enemies line?Fear not, ACU is here to self destruct.Launch coordinated attacks so that they will not self destruct and blast each other, stroll to your intended target, camp there,make your last stand, do some extra damage.KABOOM.Target not destroyed yet?Send in your main troops and T4X to blast the hell out of them while they still wondering what the fuck happen to their precious...
To keep this baby running there is a steep computer requirement.You would seldom hear me whining about game requirements but this game is truly a next generation game.Although there are wierd performance drop however, most of the time, it is due to huge particles churn up my T4X class machines unleashing their WMD ,while smaller units around it take pot shots and hopefully become a meat shield for your valuable T4X.This game is simply gorgeous even on my rather patehtic computer, although i do not like their nukes since they are like a titanic flash bang with huge performance drop, its pretty nice but i still prefer C&C and World in conflict that type of nukes animation.Running at 12x9 with shadows off, the rest at max with no AA,but when the party start during 2v2 matches, it will be slowed to a slideshow.Tried tuning down graphics setting but no improvement, probably is insufficient RAM.2v2 is the highest player count matches i played, probably wont try 4v4 before i upgrade my RAM.
