Random brain farts on tech, games and gunpla: Unreal tournament 3 hands on

After years of development,rename and delay,Unreal tournament 3 is kinda here.Not gold yet, but the beta is out, and obviously i got my hands on it.This beta have the capability to play online already and its still have much more to improved.Many dead servers are left around with 0 ping,which cant be filtered but the server browsing experience is a pleasant comapred to battlefield frachise.Connected the server in a short time,load times for local cache is hellish fast too,but once you start playing, you will start crying.The latency are bad,so bad that players look like wow players using speed hack,teleporting around.Sniper are out of question,in fact, i have some problem landing a shot with chain gun too.In the end i gave up and conclude that secondary link gun firing is the most effective weaponary.Bots are rather effective and flooded the channel with useful information which is a great feat.In fact, bots are much better in communicating in game, since nobody seems to be using voip currently,and no idiot will have time to type with a keyboard and chat about enemy holding redeemer is approaching our base...
Gameplay still pretty much intact, warfare mode isnt included so we goto wait till next month to know what epic improved about the previous onslaught mode.Some new vehicles are added while old ones are tweaked.Mantis is still my favourite,due to its mobility and my sadistic joy to squash some heads through my air vent.Scorpion have its ribbon replaced by a trajectory bomb which is rather difficult to manage but its blades are still there to slice some poor souls into half.For the performance on 163.71,could do 12x10 easily with all settings max.Infact there isnt much setting to mess with,probably because its a beta.Because other than some simple texture setting and vsync,theres isnt any thing to adjust shadows, AA, AF and other stuff that i come to expect from the sequel of ut2004.
