In term of performance, it may not be the most demanding, since SC:Double agent can suddenly have your frame rates drop to below 10 while nothing fancy is displayed out from that insane amount of computational power. For Knights of the nine, i used my old character and find it pretty easy throughout the way except 1 part...
First, Anvil church got attack and have puny little priests have their blood squeeze out at the god altar while the god, apparantly as pathetic and puny as his/her/its follower, cant do anything about it. You exit and find a old man preaching how pathatic the god is and want someone to stop this shit.Since this is a single player RPG,that person obviously is you(DUH..).You learn from that old jeezer that the enemy is a god from previous civilzation(ours?) and the 8 gods lend their strength to a mortal knight but fail to defeat him.
And for some god damn reason, the first task is to run around that insanely huge map of oblivion and pray to that 8 useless gods.He even kindly give me a extra map that does not mark it in my own map,so i have to see that fucker's map, switch to my own map, and roughly estimate where the hell those coward gods hide their temple/church mosque in.O yes, there is no marker too to guide you to the place.SO for more than 1 hour you run around like a fucking idiot during jihad.
After that, you meet some ghosts, tell you they lost the god's artefact and want you to search for it.Pretty lame and stupid, but you know,RPG stuff...After tolerating the extremely unspectacular first half of the quest, you get to be the unlucky 1 blessed by the 8 gods.O wait.Looks like some god/gods get horny, and spit a child out from a holy vagina. So its nine.It is lucky i am using a lv 35 character, for the main assault on satan fortress is a..well...i have no words to descript.
You start off being the holy crusader, recruiting people to join your rank to kill those infidels in the east.Well, good start, during the long journey running half way across the map, they are very helpful. You can just fast travel to the location, but since is already such a short quest(minus the search part) i just followed along. Its just pretty cool seeing a huge bunch of white running across the great forest slaying everything in its path.So i reach that nice fortress, get every thing ready and open that tomb.Suddenly, i wonder if my uninstalled Gothic 3 AI got messed up with Oblivion. Those shiny white fuckers just run in at different directions aggro all the satan followers and nearly pawn my ass.I m sure it is not scripted, but it is sure a moment you rarely enjoy with a level 35 character being beaten to death.Emptied hell lot of potions, cast hundreds of expert level destruction spells and equally as much expert level restoration spell to keep my ass from falling apart.Rape them all, and you find yourself gaying with satan.Compared to his hell lot of follower spanking me with enchanted aleyid battleaxe, the boss himeself is small fry.Killed him and is all over,so is your 10USD for the expansion. Not to mention that 8, i mean 9 gods' armor is weaker than those i already have like cuirass of the blood legion.
However i am addicted to oblivion running at 2MP resolution. But what can you do with a lv 35 character wearing enchanted deadric armor and sword with all your main attributes already reach expert level.Furthermore, i miss oblivion gates and their happy gate friends.
Solution?Delete the old character and start a new one. With that click of a button, another >200hour of oblivion will be deducted from my life.In fact i choose to play oblivion again over playing the new Rainbow six:Vegas.Stay tune for a review on how badly ported R6:Vegas is,but 2 thing to note is 1.= it wont be soon since i am glued to oblivion and 2.:Hooray,its another Unreal 3 engine(initial testing show rather disappointing results though).
R6:vegas-Its not visually bad,but this is just not what we are expecting in Unreal 3 engine..

Deadric armor at its finest.

Jay chou and family in curse of the golden flower

only directx10 can beat this...
