All DirectX 10 wont be out till mid 2007 so Windows vista will be nothing but some DRM eye candy.Even billsoft's FSX DX10 patch will be delayed to mid 2007 so watching how the fuck billsoft can promote Wondows vista to the hardware enthusiast and gaming community will be very entertaining. Thats very good since, the vista driver support still sux, directx9 performance in vista is HORRIBLE and i am still haven't recover fully from my financial crisis from having to change handphone 3 time in between a short period of 2 month straight after i upgraded my rig.By mid 2007, no matter how slow is DAaMit, R600 should be out and mid range version of G80 will be definetly be available for hooting.But i will still keep my finger cross for 80nm G80, if nvidia marketing business as usual, it should be called G81 or 8900GTX/GTS.Hopefully, driver support will be much better by then, i hope.
Anyway a 320mb version of 8800 linked at 320bit similar to 8800GTS, totally same specs in the gpu,freshly out of the oven for 500-600SGD/299USD.Other than giving you super fast frame rates,it will also serve as a heat source for your breakfast since it is still based on the ancient 90nm manuafacturing process.
