Usually i wouldnt go for extra finish or whatever bandai decides to call the addon because they of their exorbitant prices. Furthermore, you can easily replicate them if you put in the effort to paint your whole gunpla. But sometime, bandai milking department got it right and offer something that we will shell out our extra hard cash for, Destiny extreme blast is one example. Not only do you get plated parts, wings of light and translucent character figurine are included.
Starting with the basic first, articulation and detail wise, Destiny gundam is a huge improvement over MG strike. The waist, shoulder, legs can turn to extreme unnatural post if you desire. The legs even have a switch below the waist to cotrol the angle, allowing the both leg to stretch till the are 180degrees. But the switch for me seems to be kinda lose and doesnt seems to be able to hold on to such position easily. The feet and wings even have piston on them, which is a nice touch and looks really good.A fugly stick to hold the boomerang midair and palm cannon is also included, but instead of having the ability to mount it on both hands, only the right hand can be installed. This is extremely disappointing as the giant anti ship sword can be installed on the right hand only too, whhile the box art hint that you can have both installed at the same time, but in reality its impossible. The wings of light is also extremely difficult to attach, comes off easily and feels very fragile but once its in place, be ready to be dazzled by its beauty. After the hideous decal experience with MG sinanju, applying decal here is easy and the gold decal really looks great and suit the blink blink attitute of this model with the shiny chrome plated parts and rainbow wings. But the amount of decal is depressingly little and the usual places that have decals like front skirt and side of the leg doesnt feature any decal design.
The main attraction for paying this premium is the wings of light, replicated using PET material that acts like a prism that spread light across the huge wing into rainbow colors. The wings is so huge it make the finished model look like PG 1/60 wings attached to a puny MG 1/100 model. Other additions are transparent kira and shinn figures, chrome coated internal parts and gold decal and stickers. However only those that are easily expose is coated, i wish bandai could coat the entire innerframe parts and include clear parts to show off the design since we are already paying that much for the package. The regular destiny gundam can be get at around 70SGD while the extreme burst should be 100SGD or higher. Many wouldnt swallow at such high prices, but i still went forward and numb the pain because of the beautiful wings.

Why doesnt shinn use the long range beam cannon this way =]
